# Update a spend limit in AWS Settings
<a name="update-spend-limit"></a>

**Warning**
We're currently releasing our new experience to a limited number of customers. You might not be able to access this experience yet.

The project owner can update a spend limit in AWS Settings at any time. You can increase or decrease your spend limit, or change the optional early cost controls. If AWS has blocked new resource launches or paused resources because you are approaching your limit, you can increase your spend limit. If your project has been paused because you reached your limit, increase your spend limit to reactivate your project. For more information about how spend limits work, see [Create a spend limit in AWS Settings](create-spend-limit.md).
