Discovering your database servers

This section guides you through the steps you must take to configure your operating system and database servers. Then, you'll discover your servers and have the option to add a database or analytics server manually.

For database discovery, you must create users for your source databases with the minimum permissions required for the data collection module. For more information, see Creating database users for AWS DMS Fleet Advisor in the AWS DMS User Guide.
