# DELETE

Deletes rows in an Apache Iceberg table. `DELETE` is transactional and is supported only for Apache Iceberg tables.

## Synopsis

To delete the rows from an Iceberg table, use the following syntax.

```
DELETE FROM [{{db_name}}.]{{table_name}} [WHERE {{predicate}}]
```
