# EksPersistentVolumeClaim

A `persistentVolumeClaim` volume is used to mount a [PersistentVolume](https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/storage/persistent-volumes/) into a Pod. PersistentVolumeClaims are a way for users to "claim" durable storage without knowing the details of the particular cloud environment.
