# CdiInputProps

Properties for a CDI (uncompressed) input.

- Stability: [Experimental](/cdk/api/stability.html)
- Source: [`lib/input.ts`](https://github.com/aws/aws-cdk/blob/v2.274.0-alpha.0/packages/@aws-cdk/aws-medialive-alpha/lib/input.ts#L449)

## Example

```ts
// The code below shows an example of how to instantiate this type.
// The values are placeholders you should change.
import * as medialive_alpha from '@aws-cdk/aws-medialive-alpha';
import { aws_iam as iam } from 'aws-cdk-lib';
import { aws_ec2 as interfaces_ec2 } from 'aws-cdk-lib/interfaces';
declare const role: iam.Role;
declare const securityGroupRef: interfaces_ec2.ISecurityGroupRef;
declare const subnetRef: interfaces_ec2.ISubnetRef;
const cdiInputProps: medialive_alpha.CdiInputProps = {
  subnets: [subnetRef],
  // the properties below are optional
  role: role,
  securityGroups: [securityGroupRef],
};
```

## Properties

- `role`: [IRole](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.aws_iam.IRole.html) = a role is created with the medialive.amazonaws.com service principal [disable-awslint:prefer-ref-interface] — The IAM role MediaLive assumes to create network interfaces in the VPC.

  When omitted, a role is created and granted the required permissions.
  When you provide a role, no permissions are added — you own all the permissions it needs.

  **Default:** a role is created with the medialive.amazonaws.com service principal [disable-awslint:prefer-ref-interface]

- `securityGroups`: [ISecurityGroupRef](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.interfaces.aws_ec2.ISecurityGroupRef.html)[] = VPC default security group — Security groups to attach to the CDI input network interfaces.

- `subnets`: [ISubnetRef](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.interfaces.aws_ec2.ISubnetRef.html)[] (required) — Two VPC subnets, in two different availability zones, for the CDI input network interfaces.
