# WaiterStateMachineProps

Props for creating a WaiterStateMachine.

Extends: WaiterStateMachineProps
Extends: WaiterStateMachineOptions
Used as props by: WaiterStateMachine

- Stability: [Experimental](/cdk/api/stability.html)
- Source: [`lib/assertions/waiter-state-machine.ts`](https://github.com/aws/aws-cdk/blob/v2.275.0-alpha.0/packages/@aws-cdk/integ-tests-alpha/lib/assertions/waiter-state-machine.ts#L43)

## Example

```ts
// The code below shows an example of how to instantiate this type.
// The values are placeholders you should change.
import * as integ_tests_alpha from '@aws-cdk/integ-tests-alpha';
import * as cdk from 'aws-cdk-lib';
import { aws_lambda as lambda } from 'aws-cdk-lib';
const waiterStateMachineProps: integ_tests_alpha.WaiterStateMachineProps = {
  backoffRate: 123,
  interval: cdk.Duration.minutes(30),
  providerLogLevel: lambda.ApplicationLogLevel.INFO,
  totalTimeout: cdk.Duration.minutes(30),
};
```

## Properties

- `backoffRate`: number — Backoff between attempts.

  **Default:** 1 (no backoff)

  This is the multiplier by which the retry interval increases
  after each retry attempt.

  By default there is no backoff. Each retry will wait the amount of time
  specified by `interval`.

- `interval`: [Duration](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.Duration.html) = Duration.seconds(5) — The interval (number of seconds) to wait between attempts.

- `providerLogLevel`: [ApplicationLogLevel](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.aws_lambda.ApplicationLogLevel.html) = ApplicationLogLevel.FATAL — The log level of the provider lambda function.

- `totalTimeout`: [Duration](/cdk/api/v2/docs/aws-cdk-lib.Duration.html) = Duration.minutes(30) — The total time that the state machine will wait for a successful response.
