# Use `DeleteVpnConnection` with a CLI

**To delete a VPN connection**  
This example deletes the specified VPN connection. If the command succeeds, no output is returned.  
Command:  

```
aws ec2 delete-vpn-connection --vpn-connection-id vpn-40f41529
```
