# Use `GetInstanceProfile` with a CLI

**AWS CLI**  
**To get information about an instance profile**  
The following `get-instance-profile` command gets information about the instance profile named `ExampleInstanceProfile`.

aws iam get-instance-profile \
    --instance-profile-name ExampleInstanceProfile
```
