Understanding widget types
Dashboards help you monitor and analyze your AWS costs, usage, and resource commitments. Two types of widgets are available: custom widgets that you configure from scratch to track costs, usage, and commitment metrics, and predefined widgets that come with preset cost breakdowns over time.

| Budget | Displays your AWS Budgets in a table format. You can filter budgets by name, threshold, and type to monitor budget performance directly within your dashboard. | |
| Cost Efficiency | Displays your cost efficiency score over time so that you can track how efficiently your AWS environment is performing. You can view efficiency by AWS account, region, or overall, and adjust granularity to analyze trends. | |
| Detected Anomalies | Displays cost anomalies detected by AWS Cost Anomaly Detection in a table, with columns such as monitor name, top root cause, cost impact, last detected, duration, expected and actual spend, severity, and assessment. You can filter anomalies by severity, assessment, service, usage type, region, monitor type, account, and anomaly ID to monitor anomalies directly within your dashboard. | |

Each of these widgets can be customized to show the data most relevant to your needs, allowing you to create comprehensive and insightful dashboards.
