Available Managed Dashboards - AWS Cost Management

Available Managed Dashboards

Five Managed Dashboards are available, organized around three layers of cloud financial visibility.

Cost and usage trends

Cost Overview & Trends serves as your financial summary. It tracks spending across services, accounts, regions, charge types, and billing entities over 12 months, and includes forward-looking cost forecasts. Use this dashboard for monthly reviews, executive briefings, or when you want to understand your overall spending trajectory.

Widgets include total monthly cost trends, current and forecasted costs, cost by top spending services, cost by service breakdown, cost by linked account, cost by region, cost by charge type, cost by billing entity, and marketplace costs.

Key service categories

Compute shows your Amazon EC2, Amazon Elastic Container Service, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Lambda, and other compute costs. Costs are broken down by instance type, platform, and availability zone. It pairs these cost breakdowns with Savings Plans and Reserved Instance utilization and coverage metrics. These pairings show you where compute spend is concentrated and let you evaluate whether your commitments are well matched to your workloads. Use this dashboard to identify right-sizing opportunities, evaluate Graviton migration candidates, and assess commitment coverage gaps for compute workloads.

Database covers Amazon RDS, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Redshift, and other data services with breakdowns by database engine, instance type, purchase option, and usage type. Per-service Reserved Instance coverage and Savings Plans coverage widgets show where commitment gaps exist across your database portfolio. Use this dashboard to understand database cost composition, identify right-sizing candidates, and evaluate whether RI coverage is adequate across each database service.

Commitment reporting

Reservations gives you a consolidated view of Reserved Instance performance across all RI-eligible services: Amazon EC2, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon RDS, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon MemoryDB. Each service shows cost by instance type alongside coverage metrics and utilization detail. Use this dashboard to scan all services and identify coverage gaps or underutilization across your RI portfolio.

Savings Plans shows utilization and coverage for your Savings Plans portfolio across all three types: Compute, EC2 Instance, and Amazon SageMaker. It displays utilization and coverage for each type alongside on-demand spend and purchase option composition. Use this dashboard to assess whether your Savings Plans are optimally sized and identify where additional purchases would yield savings.
