# Manage your payment method in AWS Settings

You can manage your payment method in AWS Settings. Your payment method is used to pay for AWS resource usage in all of your projects. You can only manage your payment method if you provided information when you created your account or if you upgraded your account to the Paid Plan.

**To manage your payment method**

1. Open AWS Settings at [https://settings.aws.com](https://settings.aws.com).

1. In the main navigation pane, choose **Billing**.

1. Under **Balance**, you'll see your payment information. Choose **Manage**.

1. For **Payment method**, choose **Update**.

1. Enter your new payment method and choose **Save**.
