# DeleteEndpoint

Deletes a model-specific endpoint for a previously-trained custom model. All endpoints must be deleted in order for the model to be deleted. For information about endpoints, see [Managing endpoints](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/comprehend/latest/dg/manage-endpoints.html).

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The Amazon Resource Number (ARN) of the endpoint being deleted.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Maximum length of 256.  
Pattern: `arn:aws(-[^:]+)?:comprehend:[a-zA-Z0-9-]*:[0-9]{12}:(document-classifier-endpoint|entity-recognizer-endpoint)/[a-zA-Z0-9](-*[a-zA-Z0-9])*`   
Required: Yes

## Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

An internal server error occurred. Retry your request.  
HTTP Status Code: 500

The request is invalid.

Provides additional detail about why the request failed.
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceInUseException **   
The specified resource name is already in use. Use a different name and try your request again.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceNotFoundException **   
The specified resource ARN was not found. Check the ARN and try your request again.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** TooManyRequestsException **   
The number of requests exceeds the limit. Resubmit your request later.  
HTTP Status Code: 400
