# Prerequisites

Before you can attach a policy to a feed, you must have the following:
+ An existing Elemental Inference feed. For instructions on creating a feed, see [Step A: Create the feed in Elemental Inference](create-feed.md).
+ The feed ID. You can find this in the Elemental Inference console on the feed details page, or from the response of the `CreateFeed` or `GetFeed` API operations.
+ The AWS account ID of the service or account that you want to grant access.
