Limits and quotas

AWS End User Messaging applies the following limits and quotas to voice messaging.

Voice quotas

The following table lists the quotas that apply to voice messaging. When your account is removed from the sandbox, you automatically qualify for the maximum quotas shown in the following table.

If your account is in the sandbox, you can send 20 messages.

You can send 5 messages.

Number of voice messages that can be sent per minute

If your account is in the sandbox, you can send 5 calls per minute. If your account is out of the sandbox, you can send 20 calls per minute.

Number of voice messages that can be sent from a single originating phone number per second

You can send 1 message per second.

Voice message length

If your account is in the sandbox, a message can be 30 seconds. If your account is out of the sandbox, a message can be 5 minutes.

Ability to send voice messages to international phone numbers

While your account is in the sandbox, you can send to Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Sweden, the United States, and the United Kingdom only. After your account is out of the sandbox, you can send to any country. International calls are subject to additional fees, which vary by destination country or region.

Number of characters in a voice message

A voice message can contain 3,000 billable characters, which are the words that are spoken, and 6,000 characters total, including billable characters and SSML tags.

You can create 10,000 voice configuration sets.
