# CreateDynamicThingGroup

Creates a dynamic thing group.

Requires permission to access the [CreateDynamicThingGroup](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/service-authorization/latest/reference/list_awsiot.html#awsiot-actions-as-permissions) action.

## URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [thingGroupName](#API_CreateDynamicThingGroup_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="iot-CreateDynamicThingGroup-request-uri-thingGroupName"></a>
The dynamic thing group name to create.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z0-9:_-]+`   
Required: Yes

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The dynamic thing group index name.  
Currently one index is supported: `AWS_Things`.
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z0-9:_-]+`   
Required: No

 ** [queryString](#API_CreateDynamicThingGroup_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="iot-CreateDynamicThingGroup-request-queryString"></a>
The dynamic thing group search query string.

Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1.  
Required: Yes

 ** [queryVersion](#API_CreateDynamicThingGroup_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="iot-CreateDynamicThingGroup-request-queryVersion"></a>
The dynamic thing group query version.  
Currently one query version is supported: "2017-09-30". If not specified, the query version defaults to this value.

Metadata which can be used to manage the dynamic thing group.

The dynamic thing group properties.
