CreateDatasetContent - AWS IoT Analytics

CreateDatasetContent

Creates the content of a dataset by applying a queryAction (a SQL query) or a containerAction (executing a containerized application).

Important

The CreateDatasetContent operation in AWS IoT Analytics is no longer available to new customers. Existing customers of AWS IoT Analytics can continue to use the service as normal. Learn more

Request Syntax

POST /datasets/datasetName/content HTTP/1.1 Content-type: application/json { "versionId": "string" }

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

datasetName

The name of the dataset.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: (^(?!_{2}))(^[a-zA-Z0-9_]+$)

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

versionId

The version ID of the dataset content. To specify versionId for a dataset content, the dataset must use a DeltaTimer filter.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 7. Maximum length of 36.

Required: No

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200 Content-type: application/json { "versionId": "string" }

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

versionId

The version ID of the dataset contents that are being created.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 7. Maximum length of 36.

InternalFailureException

There was an internal failure.

HTTP Status Code: 500

InvalidRequestException

The request was not valid.

HTTP Status Code: 400

ResourceNotFoundException

A resource with the specified name could not be found.

ServiceUnavailableException

The service is temporarily unavailable.

HTTP Status Code: 503

ThrottlingException

The request was denied due to request throttling.

HTTP Status Code: 400
