Overview

An API client for IdentityStore. To construct a client, you need to configure a :region and :credentials.

client = Aws::IdentityStore::Client.new(
  region: region_name,
  credentials: credentials,
  # ...
)

For details on configuring region and credentials see the developer guide.

See #initialize for a full list of supported configuration options.

#initialize(options) ⇒ Client

Returns a new instance of Client.

Parameters:

  • options (Hash)

Options Hash (options):

  • :plugins (Array<Seahorse::Client::Plugin>) — default: []] —

    A list of plugins to apply to the client. Each plugin is either a class name or an instance of a plugin class.

  • :credentials (required, Aws::CredentialProvider) —

    Your AWS credentials used for authentication. This can be any class that includes and implements Aws::CredentialProvider, or instance of any one of the following classes:

    • Aws::Credentials - Used for configuring static, non-refreshing credentials.

    • Aws::SharedCredentials - Used for loading static credentials from a shared file, such as ~/.aws/config.

    • Aws::AssumeRoleCredentials - Used when you need to assume a role.

    • Aws::AssumeRoleWebIdentityCredentials - Used when you need to assume a role after providing credentials via the web.

    • Aws::SSOCredentials - Used for loading credentials from AWS SSO using an access token generated from aws login.

    • Aws::ProcessCredentials - Used for loading credentials from a process that outputs to stdout.

    • Aws::InstanceProfileCredentials - Used for loading credentials from an EC2 IMDS on an EC2 instance.

    • Aws::ECSCredentials - Used for loading credentials from instances running in ECS.

    • Aws::CognitoIdentityCredentials - Used for loading credentials from the Cognito Identity service.

    When :credentials are not configured directly, the following locations will be searched for credentials:

    • Aws.config[:credentials]

    • The :access_key_id, :secret_access_key, :session_token, and :account_id options.

    • ENV['AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID'], ENV['AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY'], ENV['AWS_SESSION_TOKEN'], and ENV['AWS_ACCOUNT_ID'].

    • ~/.aws/credentials

    • ~/.aws/config

    • EC2/ECS IMDS instance profile - When used by default, the timeouts are very aggressive. Construct and pass an instance of Aws::InstanceProfileCredentials or Aws::ECSCredentials to enable retries and extended timeouts. Instance profile credential fetching can be disabled by setting ENV['AWS_EC2_METADATA_DISABLED'] to true.

  • :region (required, String) —

    The AWS region to connect to. The configured :region is used to determine the service :endpoint. When not passed, a default :region is searched for in the following locations:

    • Aws.config[:region]
    • ENV['AWS_REGION']
    • ENV['AMAZON_REGION']
    • ENV['AWS_DEFAULT_REGION']
    • ~/.aws/credentials

    An object that contains the identifier of a group member. Setting the UserID field to the specific identifier for a user indicates that the user is a member of the group.

  • :max_results (Integer) —

    The maximum number of results to be returned per request. This parameter is used in all List requests to specify how many results to return in one page.

  • :next_token (String) —

    The pagination token used for the ListUsers, ListGroups, and ListGroupMemberships API operations. This value is generated by the identity store service. It is returned in the API response if the total results are more than the size of one page. This token is also returned when it is used in the API request to retrieve the next page of results.

#list_groups(params = {}) ⇒ Types::ListGroupsResponse

Lists all groups in the identity store. Returns a paginated list of complete Group objects. Filtering for a Group by the DisplayName attribute is deprecated. Instead, use the GetGroupId API action.

If you have access to a member account, you can use this API operation from the member account. For more information, see Limiting access to the identity store from member accounts in the IAM Identity Center User Guide.

The returned response is a pageable response and is Enumerable. For details on usage see PageableResponse.

  • params (Hash) (defaults to: {}) —

    ({})

Options Hash (params):

  • :identity_store_id (required, String) —

    The globally unique identifier for the identity store, such as d-1234567890. In this example, d- is a fixed prefix, and 1234567890 is a randomly generated string that contains numbers and lower case letters. This value is generated at the time that a new identity store is created.

    You can specify the identity store by ID or by Amazon Resource Name (ARN). For example, identity store ID d-1234567890 or identity store ARN arn:aws:identitystore::111122223333:identitystore/d-1234567890.

#list_identity_stores(params = {}) ⇒ Types::ListIdentityStoresResponse

Lists the identity stores that you have access to. This operation returns only the identity store ID and Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of each identity store. To obtain additional information about an identity store, call DescribeIdentityStore.

This operation returns results in paginated form. Use the NextToken parameter to retrieve additional pages of results.

The returned response is a pageable response and is Enumerable. For details on usage see PageableResponse.

    The pagination token used for the ListIdentityStores API operation. This value is generated by the identity store service. It is returned in the API response if the total results are more than the size of one page. This token is also returned when it is used in the API request to retrieve the next page of results.

  • :group_id (required, String) —

    The identifier for a group in the identity store.

    You can specify the group by ID or by Amazon Resource Name (ARN). For example, group ID a1b2c3d4-5678-90ab-cdef-EXAMPLE22222 or group ARN arn:aws:identitystore:::group/a1b2c3d4-5678-90ab-cdef-EXAMPLE22222.

  • :operations (required, Array<Types::AttributeOperation>) —

    A list of AttributeOperation objects to apply to the requested group. These operations might add, replace, or remove an attribute. For more information on the attributes that can be added, replaced, or removed, see Group.

  • :revision (String) —

    The expected current revision of the group. When you provide this value, the update is applied only if it matches the current revision of the group in the identity store, which prevents you from overwriting concurrent changes. If the value doesn't match, the operation fails with a ConflictException. If you don't provide this value, the update is applied unconditionally.

  • :network_configuration (Types::NetworkConfiguration) —

    The network configuration to apply to the identity store. This controls whether access through a virtual private cloud (VPC) endpoint is required and the source VPCs and IP addresses that are allowed to access the identity store.

    When you provide NetworkConfiguration in a request, the service performs a full replacement of the identity store's current network configuration with the values you specify. Any values that you omit are cleared. To preserve or change the allowed source VPCs or IP address ranges, include the complete set of values that you want in the request. To clear a list, omit it; an empty list is not accepted.
