StartCalculationExecution
Submits calculations for execution within a session. You can supply the code to run as an inline code block within the request.
Note
The request syntax requires the StartCalculationExecution:CodeBlock parameter or the CalculationConfiguration:CodeBlock parameter, but not both. Because CalculationConfiguration:CodeBlock is deprecated, use the StartCalculationExecution:CodeBlock parameter instead.

Request Parameters
For information about the parameters that are common to all actions, see Common Parameters.
The request accepts the following data in JSON format.
- CalculationConfiguration
-
This parameter has been deprecated.
Contains configuration information for the calculation.
Type: CalculationConfiguration object
Required: No
- ClientRequestToken
-
A unique case-sensitive string used to ensure the request to create the calculation is idempotent (executes only once). If another
StartCalculationExecutionRequest
is received, the same response is returned and another calculation is not created. If a parameter has changed, an error is returned.Important
This token is listed as not required because AWS SDKs (for example the AWS SDK for Java) auto-generate the token for users. If you are not using the AWS SDK or the AWS CLI, you must provide this token or the action will fail.
Type: String
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 32. Maximum length of 128.
Required: No
- CodeBlock
-
A string that contains the code of the calculation. Use this parameter instead of CalculationConfiguration:CodeBlock, which is deprecated.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.
- CalculationExecutionId
-
The calculation execution UUID.
Type: String
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 36.
- State
-
CREATING
- The calculation is in the process of being created.CREATED
- The calculation has been created and is ready to run.QUEUED
