# TagResource

Adds tags to a specified resource.

## Request Syntax

## URI Request Parameters
<a name="API_TagResource_RequestParameters"></a>

The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [ResourceArn](#API_TagResource_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="managedintegrations-TagResource-request-uri-ResourceArn"></a>
The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the resource to which to add tags.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 200.  
Pattern: `arn:aws:iotmanagedintegrations:[0-9a-zA-Z-]+:[0-9]+:(managed-thing|provisioning-profile|ota-task|credential-locker|account-association)/[0-9a-zA-Z]+`   
Required: Yes

## Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

 ** [Tags](#API_TagResource_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="managedintegrations-TagResource-request-Tags"></a>
A set of key/value pairs that are used to manage the resource.  
Type: String to string map  
Map Entries: Maximum number of 50 items.  
Key Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Value Length Constraints: Minimum length of 0. Maximum length of 256.  
Required: Yes

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

There is a conflict with the request.  
HTTP Status Code: 409

 ** InvalidRequestException **   
The request is not valid.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceNotFoundException **   
The specified resource does not exist.  
HTTP Status Code: 404

 ** ThrottlingException **   
The rate exceeds the limit.  
HTTP Status Code: 429

 ** UnauthorizedException **   
You are not authorized to perform this operation.  
HTTP Status Code: 401
