# Apply configuration settings to OTA tasks
<a name="apply-ota-task-configuration"></a>

Once the configuration is created, you'll receive a `taskConfigurationId` that is added to your `CreateOtaTask` request along with additional configurations:

```
aws iotmanagedintegrations create-ota-task \
  --description "OTA with configuration" \
  --s3-url "s3://test-job-document-bucket/ota-job-document.json" \
  --protocol HTTP \
  --target ["arn:aws:iotmanagedintegrations:{{region}}:{{account id}}:managed-thing/{{managed thing id}}"] \
  --ota-mechanism PUSH \
  --ota-type ONE_TIME \
  --client-token "foo" \
  --task-configuration-id "ae4f49352c5443369f43ad6c3a7f1580" \
  --ota-scheduling-config '{
    "EndTime": "2024-10-23T17:00",
    "StartTime": "2024-10-20T17:00"
  }' \
  --ota-task-execution-retry-config '{
    "RetryConfigCriteria": [
      {
        "FailureType": "FAILED",
