# DescribeAuthorizer

Describes an authorizer.

Requires permission to access the [DescribeAuthorizer](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/service-authorization/latest/reference/list_awsiot.html#awsiot-actions-as-permissions) action.

## URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [authorizerName](#API_DescribeAuthorizer_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="iot-DescribeAuthorizer-request-uri-authorizerName"></a>
The name of the authorizer to describe.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `[\w=,@-]+`   
Required: Yes

The request does not have a request body.
