# SetDefaultAuthorizer
<a name="API_SetDefaultAuthorizer"></a>

Sets the default authorizer. This will be used if a websocket connection is made without specifying an authorizer.

Requires permission to access the [SetDefaultAuthorizer](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/service-authorization/latest/reference/list_awsiot.html#awsiot-actions-as-permissions) action.

The authorizer name.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

The authorizer name.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

The specified resource does not exist.

The service is temporarily unavailable.

The rate exceeds the limit.

You are not authorized to perform this operation.
