# SetLoggingOptions

Sets the logging options.

NOTE: use of this command is not recommended. Use `SetV2LoggingOptions` instead.

Requires permission to access the [SetLoggingOptions](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/service-authorization/latest/reference/list_awsiot.html#awsiot-actions-as-permissions) action.

## URI Request Parameters

The request does not use any URI parameters.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The log level.  
Type: String  
Valid Values: `DEBUG | INFO | ERROR | WARN | DISABLED`   
Required: No

 ** [roleArn](#API_SetLoggingOptions_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="iot-SetLoggingOptions-request-roleArn"></a>
The ARN of the IAM role that grants access.  
Type: String  
Required: Yes
