# DeleteAlias

The following example shows an AWS CloudTrail log entry for the [DeleteAlias](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/kms/latest/APIReference/API_DeleteAlias.html) operation. For information about deleting aliases, see [Delete an alias](alias-delete.md).

CloudTrail log entries for this operation recorded on or after December 2022 include the key ARN of the affected KMS key in the `responseElements.keyId` value, even though this operation does not return the key ARN.
