

# Update your password in AWS Settings

You can update your password in AWS Settings.

**To update your password in AWS Settings**

1. Open AWS Settings at [https://settings.aws.com](https://settings.aws.com).

1. In the main navigation pane, choose **Manage security and sign-in**.

   You'll be redirected to your AWS Builder ID profile.

1. For **Authorization**, choose **Update password**.

1. For **Current password**, enter your current password.

1. For **New password**, enter a new password.

   AWS requires that your password meet the following conditions:
   + It must have a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 128 characters.
   + It must include a minimum of three of the following mix of character types: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and \! @ \# $ % ^ & \* () <> [] {} \| \_\+-= symbols.

1. For **Confirm new password**, enter your new password.

1. Choose **Update**.
