# CreateUser

Access permissions string used for this user.

Denotes the user's authentication properties, such as whether it requires a password to authenticate.

A list of tags to be added to this resource. A tag is a key-value pair. A tag key must be accompanied by a tag value, although null is accepted.  
Type: Array of [Tag](API_Tag.md) objects  
Array Members: Maximum number of 200 items.  
Required: No

 ** [UserName](#API_CreateUser_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="MemoryDB-CreateUser-request-UserName"></a>
The name of the user. This value must be unique as it also serves as the user identifier. This value is stored as a lowercase string.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9\-]*`   
Required: Yes
