# UntagResource

Deletes the metadata tags from the Amazon RDS Performance Insights resource.

The Amazon RDS Performance Insights resource that the tags are added to. This value is an Amazon Resource Name (ARN). For information about creating an ARN, see [ Constructing an RDS Amazon Resource Name (ARN)](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_Tagging.ARN.html#USER_Tagging.ARN.Constructing).  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 1011.  
Pattern: `^arn:.*:pi:.*$`   
Required: Yes

 ** [ServiceType](#API_UntagResource_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="performanceinsights-UntagResource-request-ServiceType"></a>
List the tags for the AWS service for which Performance Insights returns metrics. Valid value is `RDS`.  
Type: String  
Valid Values: `RDS | DOCDB`   
Required: Yes

The metadata assigned to an Amazon RDS Performance Insights resource consisting of a key-value pair.  
Type: Array of strings  
Array Members: Minimum number of 0 items. Maximum number of 200 items.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `^.*$`   
Required: Yes

## Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.
