ImportVolume

Note

This API action supports only single-volume VMs. To import multi-volume VMs, use ImportImage instead. To import a disk to a snapshot, use ImportSnapshot instead.

Creates an import volume task using metadata from the specified disk image.

For information about the import manifest referenced by this API action, see VM Import Manifest.

This API action is not supported by the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI).

Request Parameters

AvailabilityZone

The Availability Zone for the resulting EBS volume.

Description

A description of the volume.

Type: String

Required: No

DryRun

Checks whether you have the required permissions for the action, without actually making the request, and provides an error response. If you have the required permissions, the error response is DryRunOperation. Otherwise, it is UnauthorizedOperation.

Image

The disk image.

Type: DiskImageDetail object

Required: Yes

Volume

The volume size.

Type: VolumeDetail object
