Overview

This module provides a client for making API requests to Amazon Simple Systems Manager (SSM).

Aws::SSM::Client

The Client class provides one-to-one mapping for each API operation.

ssm = Aws::SSM::Client.new(region: 'us-east-1')
ssm.operation_names
#=> [:add_tags_to_resource, :cancel_command, :cancel_maintenance_window_execution, :create_activation, ...]

Each API operation method accepts a hash of request parameters and returns a response object.

resp = ssm.add_tags_to_resource(params)

Aws::SSM::Errors

Errors returned from Amazon Simple Systems Manager (SSM) are defined in the Errors module and extend Errors::ServiceError.

begin
  # do stuff
rescue Aws::SSM::Errors::ServiceError
  # rescues all errors returned by Amazon Simple Systems Manager (SSM)
end
