Overview

This module provides a client for making API requests to Amazon SimpleDB.

Aws::SimpleDB::Client

The Client class provides one-to-one mapping for each API operation.

simpledb = Aws::SimpleDB::Client.new(region: 'us-east-1')
simpledb.operation_names
#=> [:batch_delete_attributes, :batch_put_attributes, :create_domain, :delete_attributes, ...]

Each API operation method accepts a hash of request parameters and returns a response object.

resp = simpledb.batch_delete_attributes(params)

Aws::SimpleDB::Errors

Errors returned from Amazon SimpleDB are defined in the Errors module and extend Errors::ServiceError.

begin
  # do stuff
rescue Aws::SimpleDB::Errors::ServiceError
  # rescues all errors returned by Amazon SimpleDB
end
