Creates a new Capacity Reservation with the specified attributes. Capacity Reservations enable you to reserve capacity for your Amazon EC2 instances in a specific Availability Zone for any duration.

You can create a Capacity Reservation at any time, and you can choose when it starts. You can create a Capacity Reservation for immediate use or you can request a Capacity Reservation for a future date.

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginCreateCapacityReservation and EndCreateCapacityReservation.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.EC2.Model.CreateCapacityReservationRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the CreateCapacityReservation service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the CreateCapacityReservation service method, as returned by EC2.
