# GetTemplate

Displays the template object (which includes the Subject line, HTML part and text part) for the template you specify.

You can execute this operation no more than once per second.

 ** TemplateName **   
The name of the template to retrieve.  
Type: String  
Required: Yes

## Response Elements

The following element is returned by the service.

 ** Template **   
The content of the email, composed of a subject line and either an HTML part or a text-only part.  
Type: [Template](API_Template.md) object

 ** TemplateDoesNotExist **   
Indicates that the Template object you specified does not exist in your Amazon SES account.  
HTTP Status Code: 400
