# ListAssociations
<a name="API_ListAssociations"></a>

Returns all State Manager associations in the current AWS account and AWS Region. You can limit the results to a specific State Manager association document or managed node by specifying a filter. State Manager is a tool in AWS Systems Manager.

## Request Syntax
<a name="API_ListAssociations_RequestSyntax"></a>

```
{
   "AssociationFilterList": [
      {
         "key": "string",
         "value": "string"
      }
   ],
   "MaxResults": number,
   "NextToken": "string"
}
```

## Request Parameters
<a name="API_ListAssociations_RequestParameters"></a>

For information about the parameters that are common to all actions, see [Common Parameters](CommonParameters.md).

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

 ** [AssociationFilterList](#API_ListAssociations_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="systemsmanager-ListAssociations-request-AssociationFilterList"></a>
One or more filters. Use a filter to return a more specific list of results.
Filtering associations using the `InstanceID` attribute only returns legacy associations created using the `InstanceID` attribute. Associations targeting the managed node that are part of the Target Attributes `ResourceGroup` or `Tags` aren't returned.
Type: Array of [AssociationFilter](API_AssociationFilter.md) objects
Array Members: Minimum number of 1 item.
Required: No

 ** [MaxResults](#API_ListAssociations_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="systemsmanager-ListAssociations-request-MaxResults"></a>
The maximum number of items to return for this call. The call also returns a token that you can specify in a subsequent call to get the next set of results.
Type: Integer
Valid Range: Minimum value of 1. Maximum value of 50.
Required: No

 ** [NextToken](#API_ListAssociations_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="systemsmanager-ListAssociations-request-NextToken"></a>
The token for the next set of items to return. (You received this token from a previous call.)
Type: String
Required: No

## Response Syntax
<a name="API_ListAssociations_ResponseSyntax"></a>

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

 ** [Associations](#API_ListAssociations_ResponseSyntax) **   <a name="systemsmanager-ListAssociations-response-Associations"></a>
The associations.
Type: Array of [Association](API_Association.md) objects

The token to use when requesting the next set of items. If there are no additional items to return, the string is empty.
Type: String

## Errors
<a name="API_ListAssociations_Errors"></a>

For information about the errors that are common to all actions, see [Common Error Types](CommonErrors.md).
