# Delete messages and data in the Wickr client

You can delete messages and data that you've exchanged with another Wickr user.

To delete messages and data, complete the following steps.

1. Sign in to the Wickr client. For more information, see [Sign in to the Wickr client](getting-started.md#sign-in-step2).

1. In the navigation pane, find and select the name of the user whose messages and data you want to delete.

1. Select the information icon (![\[Information icon\]](http://docs.aws.amazon.com/wickr/latest/userguide/images/icon-wickr-user-information.png)) in the message window to view contact details.

1. In the **Contact Details** pane that appears, select **Delete Messages and Data**.

1. Select **Confirm** on the pop-up window.
