[ aws . controltower ]
Updates the configuration of an already enabled control.
If the enabled control shows an EnablementStatus
of SUCCEEDED, supply parameters that are different from the currently configured parameters. Otherwise, Amazon Web Services Control Tower will not accept the request.
If the enabled control shows an EnablementStatus
of FAILED, Amazon Web Services Control Tower updates the control to match any valid parameters that you supply.
If the DriftSummary
status for the control shows as DRIFTED, you cannot call this API. Instead, you can update the control by calling DisableControl
and again calling EnableControl
, or you can run an extending governance operation. For usage examples, see the ` Controls Reference Guide https://docs.aws.amazon.com/controltower/latest/controlreference/control-api-examples-short.html`__ .

update-enabled-control
uses document type values. Document types follow the JSON data model where valid values are: strings, numbers, booleans, null, arrays, and objects. For command input, options and nested parameters that are labeled with the type document
must be provided as JSON. Shorthand syntax does not support document types.

. If other arguments are provided on the command line, the CLI values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally.
--generate-cli-skeleton
(string)
Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input
, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json
. If provided with the value output
, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.

(boolean)
Turn on debug logging.
--endpoint-url
(string)
Override command's default URL with the given URL.
