Simple AD 是 Samba 的实现，具备 Active Directory 的许多基本功能。由于使用 Active Directory 的自定义和商业现成应用程序众多，AWS 不会且不能对与 Simple AD 兼容的第三方应用程序执行正式或综合性验证。尽管 AWS 与客户尝试克服任何潜在应用程序安装中遇到的挑战，但我们不能保证任何应用程序与或将继续与 Simple AD 兼容。

下列第三方应用程序与 Simple AD: 兼容：

  • 以下平台上的 Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)：

    • Windows Server 2003 R2

    • Windows Server 2008 R1

    • Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Windows Server 2012

    • Windows Server 2012 R2

  • Microsoft SQL Server:

    • SQL Server 2005 R2 (Express、Web 和 Standard 版本)

    • SQL Server 2008 R2 (Express、Web 和 Standard 版本)

    • SQL Server 2012 (Express、Web 和 Standard 版本)

    • SQL Server 2014 (Express、Web 和 Standard 版本)

  • Microsoft SharePoint：

    • SharePoint 2010 Foundation

    • SharePoint 2010 Enterprise

    • SharePoint 2013 Enterprise

客户可以选择使用 AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory（AWS Managed Microsoft AD），以基于实际 Active Directory 实现更高级别的兼容性。
