The name of the connection to the external metastore.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 255.  
Pattern: `[\u0020-\uD7FF\uE000-\uFFFD\uD800\uDC00-\uDBFF\uDFFF\t]*`   
Required: No

 ** ConnectionType **   <a name="Glue-Type-FederatedDatabase-ConnectionType"></a>
The type of connection used to access the federated database, such as JDBC, ODBC, or other supported connection protocols.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 255.  
Pattern: `[\u0020-\uD7FF\uE000-\uFFFD\uD800\uDC00-\uDBFF\uDFFF\t]*`   
Required: No

 ** Identifier **   <a name="Glue-Type-FederatedDatabase-Identifier"></a>
A unique identifier for the federated database.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 512.  
Pattern: `[\u0020-\uD7FF\uE000-\uFFFD\uD800\uDC00-\uDBFF\uDFFF\t]*`   
Required: No
