# DisassociateConnectionAlias
<a name="API_DisassociateConnectionAlias"></a>

Disassociates a connection alias from a directory. Disassociating a connection alias disables cross-Region redirection between two directories in different Regions. **Note**  
Before performing this operation, call [ DescribeConnectionAliases](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/api/API_DescribeConnectionAliases.html) to make sure that the current state of the connection alias is `CREATED`.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The identifier of the connection alias to disassociate.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 13. Maximum length of 68.  
Pattern: `^wsca-[0-9a-z]{8,63}$`   
Required: Yes

## Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.
