What is AWS Control Catalog?

Welcome to the AWS Control Catalog security information guide. The Control Catalog is a part of AWS Control Tower, which lists controls for several AWS services. It is a consolidated catalog of AWS controls. You do not need to set up AWS Control Tower to use the Control Catalog.

With the Control Catalog, you can view controls according to common use cases, including security, cost, durability, and operations.

In this document, you can find security and compliance information that you need to know, as you use the APIs that are provided by AWS Control Catalog.

Access to AWS Control Catalog

AWS Control Catalog is available through the AWS Control Catalog application programming interface (API). This API provides a programmatic way to identify and filter the common controls and related metadata that are available to you as an AWS customer.
