DescribeInstanceHealth - Elastic Load Balancing

DescribeInstanceHealth

Describes the state of the specified instances with respect to the specified load balancer. If no instances are specified, the call describes the state of all instances that are currently registered with the load balancer. If instances are specified, their state is returned even if they are no longer registered with the load balancer. The state of terminated instances is not returned.

Request Parameters

Instances.member.N

The IDs of the instances.

Type: Array of Instance objects

Required: No

LoadBalancerName

The name of the load balancer.

Type: String

Required: Yes

Response Elements

The following element is returned by the service.

InstanceStates.member.N

Information about the health of the instances.

Type: Array of InstanceState objects

InvalidInstance

The specified endpoint is not valid.

HTTP Status Code: 400

LoadBalancerNotFound

The specified load balancer does not exist.
