Class VastRequestConfiguration
- All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable,SdkPojo,ToCopyableBuilder<VastRequestConfiguration.Builder,VastRequestConfiguration>
The configuration for a VAST_REQUEST function. Specifies the HTTP method, URL, headers, body, timeout,
and output expressions for a request to a VAST endpoint. MediaTailor parses the response as VAST and resolves wrapper
redirects, then makes the parsed ads available to the function's output expressions. For more information, see Function types and
composition in the MediaTailor User Guide.

runtime
The expression language used to evaluate expressions in the function configuration. Set this to
JSONata. If the service returns an enum value that is not available in the current SDK version,
runtimewill returnRuntimeType.UNKNOWN_TO_SDK_VERSION. The raw value returned by the service is available fromruntimeAsString().- Returns:

hasOutput
public final boolean hasOutput()For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the Output property. This DOES NOT check that the value is non-empty (for which, you should check theisEmpty()method on the property). This is useful because the SDK will never return a null collection or map, but you may need to differentiate between the service returning nothing (or null) and the service returning an empty collection or map. For requests, this returns true if a value for the property was specified in the request builder, and false if a value was not specified. -
output
A map of output bindings. Each key is a namespaced output path (such as
temp.wrappedAds), and each value is an expression that MediaTailor evaluates at runtime. Output expressions in aVAST_REQUESTfunction can reference theresponseobject, which exposesresponse.parsedAds— the ads parsed from the VAST response after schema validation and wrapper resolution — andresponse.statusCode. For more information about expression syntax, see JSONata expression reference in the MediaTailor User Guide.Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasOutput()method.- Returns:

methodType
The HTTP method for the request to the VAST endpoint. Valid values:
GETandPOST. UsePOSTto send a bid request body, such as an OpenRTB payload. If the service returns an enum value that is not available in the current SDK version,
methodTypewill returnMethodType.UNKNOWN_TO_SDK_VERSION. The raw value returned by the service is available frommethodTypeAsString().- Returns:

requestTimeoutMilliseconds
The maximum time, in milliseconds, that MediaTailor waits for a response from the VAST endpoint. The timeout covers the entire response, including any wrapper redirects that MediaTailor follows. If the call exceeds this timeout, MediaTailor proceeds with an empty ad list and continues output expression evaluation. Valid values:
100to2000.- Returns:

-
url
An expression that evaluates to the VAST endpoint URL. Use
{%...%}delimiters for dynamic expressions. A literal value must be anhttps://URL. The maximum length is 25,000 characters.- Returns:

-
body
An expression that evaluates to the request body. Used with
POSTrequests, for example to send an OpenRTB bid request. The maximum length is 100,000 characters.- Returns:

hasHeaders
public final boolean hasHeaders()For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the Headers property. -
headers
A map of HTTP header names to expression values. MediaTailor evaluates each header value expression at runtime and includes the result in the outbound request. Headers beginning with
X-Amz-are reserved by the service, and method override headers are not allowed.Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasHeaders()method.- Returns:

equalsBySdkFields
Description copied from interface:SdkPojoIndicates whether some other object is "equal to" this one by SDK fields. An SDK field is a modeled, non-inherited field in anSdkPojoclass, and is generated based on a service model. If an
SdkPojoclass does not have any inherited fields, equalsBySdkFieldsandequalsare essentially the same.- Specified by:

obj- the object to be compared with- Returns:
- true if the other object equals to this object by sdk fields, false otherwise.
