AWS Blu Age lifecycle

Focus mode
AWS Blu Age lifecycle - AWS Mainframe Modernization

This section defines end of life (EOL) dates for the AWS Blu Age Runtime major versions. This enables you to plan for version upgrades so that you can stay up to date with the latest maintenance and features. To upgrade your version, see Upgrading instructions for AWS Blu Age.

We recommend you check for new versions every 3 months and upgrade to recent versions frequently. For each upgrade, you should perform non regression tests of your modernized applications prior to production or critical deployments.

Note

End of life dates may be subject to change due to critical security remediations. For more details, see AWS Mainframe Modernization components lifecycle.

AWS Blu Age Runtime End of Life (EOL)

The following table summarizes EOL date for each major version.

Major version End of Life date
Version 3 July 8th 2024
Version 4 Yet to be released
Note

EOL date for major version 4 will be aligned with the availability for the next major version.

To understand the support model of minor versions, refer AWS Mainframe Modernization components lifecycle.
