Creating a data strategy on AWS that supports your company's goals

Companies want to improve the usage of their data in many business areas. Executives would like their companies to be more data-driven; however, their data often exists inside the company but isn't available in the format that a business user can understand. Furthermore, the data usually lacks important characteristics such as timing, freshness, quality, lineage, enrichment, and visibility.

A McKinsey summary of the data-driven enterprise of 2025 predicts that enterprises will standardize seamless interactions between humans and machines, and data will be used by most employees in daily activities. This is similar to what we heard from AWS customers, and most of them have created, or are in the process of creating, automated applications based on their data insights.

This prescriptive guide presents an approach that helps you create a data strategy that aligns data sharing, technical capabilities, and processes with your company's business goals.
