Disaster recovery overview
The general process is:

Install the AWS Replication Agent on the source server.

Wait until initial sync is finished.
-
Launch drill instances. Perform acceptance drills on the servers
-
Initiate a failover by redirecting traffic.
-
Confirm that the Recovery instance was launched successfully.
-
To recover your data, initiate a failback.
-
Complete the failback
-
Return to normal operations.
