Debugging Recipes

The AWS OpsWorks Stacks service reached end of life on May 26, 2024 and has been disabled for both new and existing customers. We strongly recommend customers migrate their workloads to other solutions as soon as possible. When a lifecycle event occurs, or you run the Execute Recipes stack command, AWS OpsWorks Stacks issues a command to the agent to initiate a Chef Solo run on the specified instances to execute the appropriate recipes, including your custom recipes. This section describes some ways that you can debug failed recipes.
